District Sportsfest(May 1, 2012)-Bago City

      May 1, 2012 is an official holiday in the Philippines known as the "Labor Day".  These will be a rest day for the majority of the people in the Philippines.  But for the Ecclesiastical District of Negros Occidental, this day is the day for family bonding, joy for kids, exhibit of skills and talents and unity among brethren.  This day is our District Sportsfest for this year held at Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Sports Complex, Bago City, Neg. Occ., Philippines.  All locales in each area has come to join the said event.  Carrying their best talents and supporting mentors from every area has compose the occasion a successful one. Best cheer dancers are exhibited their talents.  And different ball games are played.  Also track and field events are key features.  Inspite of tremendous heat in the morning followed by heavy rains in the afternoon, brethren still eager to perform and show their talents no matter what.  As the heavy rain continued, the district administration decide to transfer the remaining event to an indoor place, Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center, that can accommodate 10,000 people.
